Descrição da função

The Premises Support Officer manages the department in charge of ICRC premises, offices, housing, and infrastructure within the Pemba Sub-Delegation. Additionally, the role ensures business continuity for Welcome services by covering key routine tasks during the Welcome Officer’s absence.

Key Responsibilities:

Real Estate & Lease Management: Assess accommodation and office space needs, monitor real estate market trends, negotiate lease terms, and manage lease agreements (renewals, payments, filing, and system updates).

Premises Maintenance & Security: Coordinate and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities for premises; oversee external contractors; evaluate passive security measures with the Security Department; and serve as the focal point for the Electrical Safety Action Plan (ESAP).

Inventory & Stock Management: Manage physical inventories of furniture, assets, maintenance materials, and administrative supplies, including coordinating check-in/check-out inventories for mobile staff and requisitions with Logistics.

Team & Financial Supervision: Lead and supervise the premises team (housekeepers and maintenance staff); oversee departmental budgets, service costs, and operational expenses.

Welcome Services Support: Stand in during the Welcome Officer’s absence to support staff movements, airport transfers, accommodation, welcome briefings, and delegation tours.

Requisitos

Educational Background: Degree or diploma in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.

Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in administrative or operational support functions (prior NGO/international organization experience is an asset).

Technical Skills & Competencies:

Proven organizational, coordination, and accurate document management skills.

Ability to handle cash and bank transactions responsibly and transparently.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Strong sense of discretion, integrity, initiative, teamwork, and alignment with ICRC core values.

Languages: Working knowledge of English (required).
