PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
- The candidate will oversee, execute, and enforce site-level safety and environmental management systems.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS & DUTIES
- Team Supervision: Oversee HSE engineers, supervisors, and field inspectors.
- Inspections & Audits: Conduct daily site inspections and safety audits to identify and correct unsafe acts or conditions.
- High-Risk Activities: Oversee high-risk activity protocols, including Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems.
- Risk Assessment: Compile, review, and approve Job Safety Analyses (JSA) and Risk Assessments.
- Incident Investigation: Support investigations for accidents, injuries, or near-misses and in the development of corrective/preventive action plans.
- Safety Culture & Reporting: Compile technical HSE reports and mentor site supervisors and contractors to foster a strong proactive safety culture.
- Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with project standards and regulations.
Requisitos
- Required Qualifications & Certifications:NEBOSH IGC or similar.
- Health and Safety diploma. Risk Assessor certification/qualification.
- Incident Investigation training and experience.
- Technical Skills & Competencies:Solid HSE management experience on large-scale engineering and construction projects.
- Strong field leadership, team management, and contractor mentoring capabilities.
- Strict attention to safety procedures and regulatory compliance.
- Willingness to work on a 60/15 rotation schedule in Afungi.
