Working under the supervision of the HR Manager, the HR Coordinator supports the delivery of Human Resources services across the Country Office and Area Offices. The role coordinates full employee lifecycle processes, ensuring effective implementation of NRC HR policies, internal procedures, and Mozambican labor legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Onboarding: Coordinate end-to-end recruitment processes, prepare employment contracts, oversee onboarding logistics, and manage work permits, visas, and travel arrangements as needed.

Employee Lifecycle & Records: Maintain accurate, confidential employee records and HRIS databases; track probation periods, contract renewals, staff movements, and separation procedures.

Performance Management & Capacity Building: Support goal setting, performance appraisals, staff inductions, mandatory NRC trainings, and learning/development initiatives.

Employee Relations, Benefits & HR Support: Serve as the primary focal point for employee inquiries regarding leave, benefits, and workplace practices; support staff insurance schemes, grievance handling, and disciplinary processes.

Compliance, Reporting & Audits: Monitor adherence to local labor, tax, and social security laws; prepare HR metrics/analytics; and compile documentation for internal and external audits.

Culture & Wellbeing: Promote Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives—including female recruitment and progression—alongside Duty of Care and staff wellbeing programs.

Requisitos

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Psychology, Law, or a related field.

Professional Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR management experience (preferably in an HR Coordinator or similar role within an NGO or humanitarian context).

Demonstrated track record across recruitment, employee relations, learning & development, and performance management.

Experience supporting multi-location/field-based HR operations and managing work permit/visa processes.

Technical Skills & Competencies:

Solid working knowledge of Mozambican labor legislation, tax/social security requirements, and local market dynamics.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and HRIS/records management systems.

Training facilitation, organizational, planning, and confidential conflict-resolution skills.

Languages: Full fluency in written and spoken Portuguese and English. Knowledge of local languages spoken in Cabo Delgado is an added advantage.
